I’m opening my camp to kids ages 5-9. Come join us for some fun! Spread the word. Located in Carlsbad.
That’s a wrap on our school year. Such a special group of kids this year! I only cried a couple times 😝.
Soccer is definitely more fun on turf than dirt 😝. They’ve been playing soccer boys vs. girls every day for months at recess. It reminds me of Sandlot.
Big day...turf going in!!
Research time for our museum day reports. #homeschool #microschool

Feeling the love today!
Happy Mother’s Day!

We enjoyed writing about our moms last week. Some of my favorites include:

My mom is really good at “screaming when she sees a spider.”

My mom looks beautiful “in the daytime.”

The best thing she cooks is “water.”

I love my mom more than “my dad.”
Funny how something like fresh new crayons can bring the kids and I such joy. Can’t wait to see their faces tomorrow when we slyly set them out.
Fun Fridays call for art. Loving this sweet aquarium made by one of our first graders.
And that’s a wrap! Such an amazing year and I can’t wait to do it again. Now enrolling for Fall 2021 for grades K-2, morning session (FULL), afternoon (OPEN). More info at
Ooblek, is it a liquid or solid? 🤔
Red Fish Blue Fish and Cat in the Hat snack
All set in our hats for Cat in the Hat theme day for Dr Seuss Week!
We were able to watch the Mars rover landing during school today.
Microschool in Carlsbad now enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year!

I think we all learned a lot the last year as schools began closing and many of us opened our minds to different forms of education. I was in the same boat with my 2nd grader and kindergartener. I didn’t want them learning from a computer or at a school with masks, plexiglass, and a closed playground. I realized with my teaching credential and family childcare license I could create my own school in my home. We quickly remodeled our living room into a classroom and our yard into a engaging play area. Before I knew it we had two full classes of students grades K-2 coming to our home each weekday. It has been amazing to watch these kids thrive this year and I can’t wait to do it again next school year.

There are some amazing benefits to our microschool including a 6:1 ratio (12 students, 2 teachers), short 3 hour school day (am and pm), easy drop off/pickup, safe, nurturing, and cozy environment, Christian curriculum, affordable, to name a few.
